After hours

Using long exposure often yields some interesting results.  More so when the tripod is omitted.  In this case I rested the camera on my knee :)

headless

I always believed window displays are a window to current and local culture.  One day, when I run out of ideas and fall into a photographers’ block, I will probably create a series of these unique window displays.

One thing I noticed in recent years is that there are more and more headless manikins out there…so I wonder, how does that reflect on our culture?

Texas nights

I came across this image as I was organizing my prints (which is a job I always begin with much good intent but haven’t yet determined how to bring it to a successful conclusion)

A n y w a y, it was taken last year in Austin Texas.

Insert your title here

Many times I come up with a name to an image (or a scene) as I’m shooting it.

Very often these are silly titles and it is very possible I’m the only one who understands them and consequently I’m the only one who laughs.

Oh well, you had to be there.

Icon

One of the most delicate challenges of street photography is photographing an icon without giving in to the cliché.

cropping

talking about cropping...

The common advice is to crop your pictures while shooting them.  It is of course a nice advice, however, not always practical in Street photography when timing takes precedence over over most of the other variables.
