Really good shot. I like 'street photgraphy', at least when you live in a interesting city. For three months I lived in washington D.C., and while it was difficult to take snaps on the street, you know too much touristic like, I felt in love with the metro.. It's so beautiful.
Nice site...
I usually keep the camera under my jacket.
It's also really nice to have a good friend with a big umbrella (a big friend with a good umbrella will do too :)
But the bottom line is that the camera doesn't always stay dry.
I don't think there are any rules to the weather any more! It's never supposed to be 65 in Jan. in western NC either, but it has been for a few weeks :)
More ghosts of the past...or are they from the future this time? Have you ever seen the French film La Jetee, by Chris Marker? If not, I must insist you do. It is a short film that inspired Terry Gilliam's Twelve Monkeys, but it is all b&w stills with narration. You will love it. Oh yes, great shot.
There is something surreal in this image. The people there seem to ve very static. Arms close to the body, straight legs, it almost seems they are not walking. However, there is the motion blur that gives a strong sense of movements. It almost seem like these are mannequins dragged around by the wind. The overall effect is VERY cool, and as usual is open to infinite interpretations.
This is an excellent photograph. Are you ever in the Philadelphia area? A lot of photography I see online in Metro cities usually exclude Philadelphia. It would be great to see your interpretations of our city.
I got some patio living of my own yesterday:

It pours :)
Now I have that song is going through my head. Great. :P
Lovely shot, as usual. How do you keep your camera dry?

The blurred trails give the impression of wind. Nice mood.

I didn't think it rained in Southen California ... I love the blur, I think it adds to the chaotic feel of the weather

The picture was taken on Hollywood Blvd. a few blocks east of Highland.

Love the way you can put movement in all of your images. You make each photo come alive with it's own life. Great work, kiddo.

enjoyed the blur of motion and the solid subject on the right
